@Emma Oh yeah? Are you lactose intolerant? I don’t really have an issue with dairy. I’m just not a fan of ice creams and all in general. I don’t hate them but I guess I just don’t like them as much as people usually do.

@Rabbi That Japanese expression is not bizarre for GenX Japanese like me,only if it is in a business letter.

However,when thinking about original meaning of 鞭撻 which means "hit me by a whip",it's obviously weird and hillarious.

鞭撻 means "encouragement"in that kinds of letter lol.

Hahaha. Hit me by a whip does sound hilarious @Hide😂 This is just a classic case of language evolving. As time passes, previously used words sound stranger. Especially if you don’t know the language (like me) it can be a chaos.

@Rabbi I think I’m lactose intolerant, but never got it tested from the clinic. I feel super uncomfortable post eating something milky :((

But the weird part is that I’m fine with Chocolate 😅🍫

@Emma I totally get that. Over 70 percent of the asians are lactose intolerant. I used to be okay with milk but after drinking milk everyday at school for three years, suddenly my stomach started acting up. So I switched to almond milk and now i’m good.

However, other milk products don’t make my stomach upset at all. 😂

Took a trip to the Gotemba outlet yesterday. Ate a bit too much and I have a stomachache today. But, no regrets ✌🏼

WOW! As a ramen connoisseur I need to mention that ramen in the 2nd pic must be so nice.That sea bream ramen shop was established by a famous sushi restaurant in Ginza.

@Hide san omg how did you know it’s sea bream ramen? 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 and yes, it tasted amazing. The broth was so comforting like the kind you want to drink when you catch a cold.

@Emma it was pretty cool. Especially if you’re interested in some luxury shopping, it could be a fun place to check out. A lot of good food too and a view of Mt Fuji up close. Highly recommended. It’s really huge tho so you can’t see all of it in one day IMO.

Ha ha never tried that chai dipped naan version. In Sri Lanka, we dip slice if bread inside our milk tea and eat it as a snack. I wanna try this version as well.

I love paratha very much. In Sri Lanka, we cut the paratha in to square shape pieces and pour a spicy curry on top and mix with paratha. That gives a heavenly taste 🥹🥹

@Thilini paratha’a cut in pieces with curry is my go to street food after a crazy day!

We have something called Godamba. It’s like double the size of a human face 😂 @Rabbi @Rashi do you have something like this in Pakistan or India as well ?

@Emma regarding the size 😂 Yes, we do have a similar thing, also called ‘roti’ but not made of wheat flour. It’s huge, soft, chewy and it’s more popular in the north of Pakistan.

@Rabbi roti here is made of wheat flour (+ some extra heathy grains like my mother likes to add) and it’s not chewy at all

@Rashi yep that’s the roti we normally have in Pakistan. But there’s a different kind of roti also available called Manda or rumali roti which is kind of huge and chewy because it’s made of all-purpose flour (maida) which is obv unhealthy as a refined carb but tastes amazing.
